STATE COLLEGE, Pa. -- Jerry Sandusky is expected to make a court appearance on Friday regarding complaints that he was looking at children at a park near his home.

Channel 11's Courtney Brennan traveled to State College on Thursday to prepare for the hearing.

Brennan reported that as she was shooting a news piece near Sandusky's home, his wife nearly hit her and a Channel 11 News photographer with her car.

Shortly after the incident, Sandusky's attorney, Joe Amendola, spoke to Brennan regarding the allegations and Friday's court appearance.

Amendola said the complaint that Sandusky was watching kids at a nearby elementary school is false.

"What's happened is that he's been out there on occasion when the kids come out, maybe for recess, or somebody actually walks through the yard. He tells me there are actually people who walk their kids through Sandusky's yard to school," Amendola said.

Prosecutors are expected to ask the judge to order Sandusky to stay inside his home unless he needs to go out for a medical reason.

Sandusky's attorney said he will make his own request to allow Sandusky to see his grandchildren while he awaits trial on more than 50 counts of sexual abuse against 10 victims.

"We were trying to make arrangements to avoid his physically having to be there, but it just seems that nothing could be worked out, so he's going to be there," Amendola said.

Amendola said he'll also ask the judge if Sandusky can leave his home to move around the county with a private detective so they can work on his defense.
